My First Challenge Sketch

Ok, it took quite some time, but I thought what the heck let me try my hand at a sketch challenge.  This first challenge probably took me two hours to complete, but I'm ok with how it turned out.  I found the Waltzingmouse Sketch Challenge at a friends blog and have been hooked on that site along with her blog.

Here's the challenge sketch this week:

Check out this fun sketch provided to us from our sketch coordinator, Anya Schrier.  Feel free to turn or flip the sketch, make a shaped card, or just use this shape in or another similar shape in the center of your project - just use the basic principals of this sketch in your design.  Set your mojo free and go with the flow.

So here's my first attempt.  Feel free to let me know what you think!!

Supplies Used:

PTI Raspberry Fizz paper, Tim Holtz distressed paper in blue, American Goods paper, Stampin Up Glitter Paper in Red,
Waltzingmouse Stamps:  Say It Loud Winter, Sewing Box Christmas
Cricut Heart Cut Out, Ribbon from Walmart, Red Pearls

I started out thinking Spring and then switched back to Valentines.  I loved the squiggles on this paper and layered it onto the Raspberry Fizz paper.  I then used the heart from Sewing Box Christmas and stamped with versamark black.   I then stamped Warm hugs onto a strip of Raspberry Fizz paper (3/4" wide)  and placed it on the blue card stock (1 1/2" wide) using dimensionals.  I thought it needed some more pizazz and added red pearls to the center of the hearts.  The heat is cutout with a Cricut cartridge and the ribbon run through it and tied into a bow.

Hope I can find the time to complete a challenge at least once a month if not more.  Now that the cold and snow have hit I might just be able to do it.
